Sharp’s Healsio Hotcook anhydrous automatic cooking pot won the grand prize in the BabyTech® Awards 2023 Home Appliances for Childcare Category. The awards is hosted by the BabyTech® Awards 2023 Executive Committee.
The award ceremony was held on November 21 at the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center. Mari Yoshida, Supervisor, Cooking Appliance Product Planning and Engineering Division (Planning), Kitchen Appliance Business Unit-Japan, Smart Appliances & Solutions BU attended the ceremony.
The BabyTech® Awards is a contest that recognizes outstanding childcare ICT products, services, and childcare appliances through rigorous judging by a panel of experts.
The judges praised the product with comments such as "The fact that easy-to-prepare baby food menus, based on requests from customers, were created with the advice from the Mother and Child Nutrition Association by portioning cooked food for the entire family is intriguing, as well as how it is corresponding to changes in the way people interact with food since the novel virus pandemic,” “Housework as well as childcare should be done regardless of gender. Even those who are unfamiliar with housework can cook efficiently and have more time to devote to childcare and hobbies, which may give them more peace of mind," and "The monitors commented that since they only have a two-burner stove, using the Healsio Hotcook effectively creates a third burner stove, and it is really easy to leave the cooking to the product without having to watch the heat level, which I fully agree with. A new option enables to enhance its stirring power, which lets us expect further development in the future."

At the award ceremony, Ms. Yoshida commented: "Since its launch in 2015, the Healsio Hotcook has been used by many families raising children, and is well accepted since it can be left unattended and can save time. In addition, since fiscal 2017, Healsio Hotcook has evolved into an IoT home appliance with Wi-Fi connectivity. We will continue its evolution to bring smiles to the faces of many families raising children by creating more free time leaving cooking up to Healsio Hotcook."
