In the VGP2024 SUMMER Awards, one of Japan's largest comprehensive awards for audiovisual equipment, sponsored by Ongen Publishing Co., AQUOS XLED 4K mini LED TV <GP1 Line> won the Special Jury Prize, and AQUOS QD-OLED 4K OLED TV <GS1 Line> won the Grand Special Prize.
Additionally, the newly developed ‘N-Black Wide Panel’ that utilizes quantum dot technology and ‘AI Auto Sound Quality’ each won a Planning Prize.
The <GP1 Line>, which received the Special Jury Prize, was recognized for its newly developed ‘N-Black Wide Panel’ that achieves high brightness and a wide color gamut even when viewed from an angle. The <GS1 Line>, which received the Grand Special Prize, was praised for its next-generation ‘QD-OLED Panel’ and the ability to adjust picture and sound quality automatically with AI.
By category, AQUOS QD-OLED 4K OLED TV <4T-C55GS1>, AQUOS XLED 4K mini LED TVs <4T-C65GP1>, <4T-C50GP2>, and the wearable neck speaker AQUOS Sound Partner <AN-SS3> won the Gold Prize.

VGP is a comprehensive award for audiovisual equipment, the largest of its kind in Japan, which was launched in 1987. It covers "audiovisual products" such as 4K OLED/LCD TVs and Blu-ray recorders, "pure audio products" such as speaker systems and audio players, and "lifestyle products" such as earphones/headphones, wireless speakers, smartphones, and PCs. The VGP judges, consisting of 10 critics who are active in numerous media such as specialized magazines, as well as leading retailers nationwide, vote and judge the best-selling products, taking into account not only outstanding equipment performance but also market trends.
