This time, Sharp’s participation in the “International Standardization Promotion Activities for Household Air Purifiers (Performance Evaluation Methods)” has received “Best Committee Activity Award”. By participating in the project team for establishing international standards for household air purifiers and continuing our activities, Sharp registered 135 experts from 22 countries. Additionally, from 2021 to 2023, Sharp was entrusted with the METI International Standardization Project, accelerating and promoting international standardization activities, resulting in the issuance of four international standards.
Furthermore, the “Superior Award” was given to the following two projects. “Development of High-Efficiency, Lightweight, and Flexible Solar Cell Sheets for Space Use” in the manufacturing category, and “Development of Energy-Saving Services for Home Appliances and Residential Equipment Utilizing Surplus Power Forecasts from Solar Power Systems” in the IoT, AI, and DX category.
Additionally, the “Encouragement Award” was given to the following five projects. “Development of the IB-WX901 Dryer, which Achieves Both Quick Drying and Comfort with Advanced Drape Flow and Load-Free Center of Gravity Design,” “Development of the Fit63 Series of Large-Capacity Refrigerators with Depth-Saving Design Equipped with Energy-Saving Functions and Electricity Cost Reduction Functions through Cloud Connection and AI Learning,” “Commercialization of an Ultrasonic Washer with Improved Usability,” “Development of the Healsio with ‘Ready-to-Eat Defrost’ Function that Optimally Finishes Frozen Foods,” and “Development of an Air Conditioner Equipped with Schedule Control and Energy-Saving Operation Functions Usable for Demand Response.”
