Sharp Hosts Press Conferences to Introduce New Mobile Phone (SH8010C) in China

Press Conferences Held in Shanghai and Beijing

On September 5, Sharp held two press conferences, one at the Four Seasons Hotel Shanghai and one at the Grand Hyatt Beijing, to introduce its new mobile phone (SH8010C).

Executive Managing Officer Nobuyuki Sugano, Group General Manager, International Sales and Marketing Group; CEO China, attended the Shanghai press conference and Masami Ohbatake, Group Deputy General Manager, International Sales and Marketing Group; COO China, attended the one in Beijing. They each gave a presentation introducing Sharp's policies and specific efforts toward full-fledged development of its mobile phone business for the Chinese market.

SH8010C

The SH8010C was introduced at this impressive fashion-show-style press conference that showed off its color variations. It is the second Sharp mobile phone in China; the first was launched in June 2008.

Reporters had a chance to touch and try out the SH9010C and SH8010C models and experience the product features including a beautiful LCD screen, a function that electronically reads business cards, and a motion control sensor that lets users operate the phone by physically shaking or titling it instead of pushing buttons.
