Sharp Participated in IFA2012

At IFA 2012, held in Berlin, Germany between August 31 and September 5, Sharp exhibited a wide variety of products and new technologies. The company focused on equipment employing large-screen LCD monitors, such as LCD TVs and touchscreen monitors.

Next-Generation Products Incorporating State-of-the-Art Displays
As a reference exhibit, Sharp displayed an LCD TV boasting a resolution four times higher than that of a full high-definition TV  This LCD TV, jointly developed with I-cubed Research Center Inc.*1, allows users to feel the depth and texture of a scene as if they were actually there.

See-Through Solar House
Sharp demonstrated a miniature solar house equipped with see-through solar cell modules  Visitors learned how they could check the amount of solar power being generated—as well as the amount of power consumed by electric appliances—via an HEMS terminal. They also discovered how they could manage the rate of power saving through simple operation.
