One week after the end of the war, Tokuji began to offer a free-of-charge radio repair service. Fortunately, the factory had not sustained damage from the war, but it was difficult to immediately set up a production system because of a lack of supplies. The company still possessed the skills needed for making radios. So, he decided his company would rebuild the radios that had been lying broken in various households, enabling people to once again experience the joy of listening to the radio. It is said that every day, nearly 100 people lined up who wanted to have their radios repaired. While undertaking this repair service, Tokuji established an immediate business operations plan, and made the decision to shrink the size of the factory and concentrate on producing radios.
