<Pirated Viewcam Battery Packs>
Please accept our warmest appreciation for your ongoing preference for SHARP products.
SHARP’s video camera was designed with the expectation that it would be powered only with genuine SHARP battery packs. Recently, however, we have confirmed that pirated battery packs closely resembling the real SHARP product are circulating in some overseas markets.
The products we have confirmed to be pirated are the BT-L226 (lithium ion battery), the BT-H22(nickel hydrogen battery)and the BT-80BK(nickel cadmium battery), all of which are manufactured for overseas markets.
Pirated battery packs are not provided with safety equipment, and when they are used or recharged the video camera they are installed in may not function properly, or there may well be accidents and breakdowns involving fire or the battery splitting open.
That is why we would prefer that you use genuine SHARP battery packs, because their design and manufacture take complete account of performance and safety factors. In addition, please be aware that SHARP is not required to take any responsibility at all for accidents or breakdowns caused by pirated products.
Knowing how to tell the difference between pirated and genuine battery packs on sight is a difficult business, and we welcome your inquiries about this matter. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with nearest SHARP Customer Assistance Center in your country.
