▲ ”Xtreme mini LED (image)”, winner of the Planning Award in the VGP2023 SUMMER Awards
In the VGP2023 SUMMER Awards, one of Japan's largest comprehensive awards for audiovisual equipment, sponsored by Ongen Publishing Co., "Xtreme mini LED"(mounted on AQUOS XLED ＜DX1／EP1 line＞) and 4K AQUOS LCD TVs＜FN1／FN2 line＞ won the "Planning Award," one of the special awards.
The "Xtreme mini LED" has developed mini LED TVs with a high density of backlights that are 72 times*1 more densely laid out than conventional models, and the AQUOS 4K LCD TVs＜FN1／FN2 line＞ were recognized for commercialization of LCD TVs with high picture quality, high sound quality, and environmental sensing by AI, equipped with the new image processing engine "Medalist S4" that uses an AI processor.
By category, 8K TVs AQUOS XLED＜8T-C85DX1＞＜8T-C75DX1＞＜8T-C65DX1＞, 4K TVs AQUOS XLED＜4T-C70EP1＞＜4T-C60EP1＞, 4K LCD TV AQUOS＜4T-C43FN2＞, AQUOS Sound Partner wearable neck speaker＜AN-SX8＞＜AN-SS3＞ received the Gold Award.

- VGP is Japan's largest and most prestigious comprehensive award for audiovisual equipment, launched in 1987. VGP is a comprehensive award for audiovisual equipment, the largest of its kind in Japan, which was launched in 1987. It covers "audiovisual products" such as 4K OLED/LCD TVs and Blu-ray recorders, "pure audio products" such as speaker systems and audio players, and "lifestyle products" such as earphones/headphones, wireless speakers, smartphones, and PCs. The VGP judges, consisting of 10 critics who are active in numerous media such as specialized magazines, as well as leading retailers nationwide, vote and judge the best-selling products, taking into account not only outstanding equipment performance but also market trends.
