  • Sharp Named to IAM's "Asia IP Elite 2025" for Second Consecutive Year

Sharp Corporation has been selected for the "Asia IP Elite 2025" by Intellectual Asset Management (IAM), a globally renowned media outlet specializing in intellectual property, marking the company's second consecutive year of inclusion.

    Award Plaque

The "Asia IP Elite" recognizes organizations in the Asia-Pacific region that demonstrate the most sophisticated intellectual property (IP) strategies. The selection targets companies that maintain dedicated IP departments, actively engage in IP transactions or disputes, or adopt innovative approaches to extracting value from their intellectual property. For 2025, a total of 101 companies were selected, including 25 from Japan.

Sharp positions its IP strategy as a critical component of its overall corporate management, integrating it closely with its business and R&D strategies. By proactively acquiring intellectual property rights, the company works to enhance its competitive advantage and strengthen its business foundation.

The Gold Award–winning AQUOS QD-OLED <4T-C65HS1> is equipped with a latest-generation QD-OLED (Quantum Dot OLED) panel. By combining Sharp’s proprietary heat dissipation structure and panel drive circuitry that maximize brightness performance, peak brightness has been improved to approximately twice that of Sharp’s previous models*¹, delivering exceptional brilliance and rich color reproduction. In addition, the TV features the high-quality, high-output 100W “AROUND SPEAKER SYSTEM PLUS,” which provides an immersive integration of sound and visuals. Its ability to achieve both outstanding picture quality and powerful audio was highly praised.

In collaboration with Sharp IP Infinity Inc., which manages Sharp’s IP operations, Sharp is committed to creating strategic IP value rooted in front-line operations. This includes the creation of standard-essential patents (SEPs) in technology fields such as telecommunications and video coding, as well as strengthening IP utilization through international licensing activities.

Moving forward, Sharp will continue to leverage the expertise and know-how accumulated through its IP activities to practice proactive intellectual property management.
