Since its launch in 1998, a wide range of designs have been selected.
■ About the Selected Product: Drawer-Type Microwave Oven D33 Series <RINDS333FB-UK>
By enabling installation beneath the kitchen counter, this microwave eliminates the space constraints and visual clutter typically associated with countertop placement. In addition, the drawer-type structure allows users to remove food smoothly from multiple directions without bending down, resulting in a stress-free cooking experience.
Furthermore, the handle-less, fully flat design creates a noise-free aesthetic that harmonizes with any kitchen environment. This design is made possible by a motion-activated mechanism that automatically opens and closes the drawer when a hand is waved up and down in front of the unit, providing a minimalistic and user-friendly kitchen space.
■ Jury’s Comments
“For Japanese users who assume that microwave ovens belong on the countertop, this fully built-in product is likely beyond conventional thinking. However, in order to create a kitchen that is as simple, flat, and comfortable as possible, even the microwave must be built in—and even the handle must be eliminated. Based on drawer-type microwave technology developed for the North American market since 2004, this product has been redesigned to meet European standards. The door opens automatically by moving one’s hand up and down in front of the unit.”
Guided by our new corporate slogan, “In step with your future,” we will continue to create distinctive products and services that are not only visually refined, but also thoughtfully designed in terms of usability and functionality. Through these efforts, we aim to be a company that helps create new cultural value.
