At VGP2026 SUMMER, one of Japan's largest comprehensive awards for audiovisual equipment, organized by Ongen Publishing Co., Sharp's 4K mini LED TV AQUOS XLED <X9A Line> and 4K OLED TV AQUOS OLED <S9A Line> won the Judges' Special Award. In addition, the new AQUOS AI service, the newly developed Advanced RGB Quantum Dot Rich Color technology featured in <X9A Line>, and the new AROUND SPEAKER SYSTEM ++ featured in <X9A/S9A Line> won the Planning Award.
AQUOS XLED <X9A Line> and AQUOS OLED <S9A Line>, which received the Judges' Special Award, were recognized as flagship TVs equipped with the new-generation AI engine Medalist S7 and a three-dimensional sound system. The Planning Awards recognized AQUOS AI for its AI character that supports TV operation and content discovery, Advanced RGB Quantum Dot Rich Color for Sharp's independently formulated quantum dots that achieve higher brightness, a wider color gamut, and stable color reproduction, and AROUND SPEAKER SYSTEM ++ for its sound system equipped with Kai-on Reflector technology, which delivers sound more directly to viewers.
In the category awards, five products received the Gold Award: 4K OLED TVs AQUOS OLED <4T-77S9A/55S9A/48S9A> and 4K mini LED TVs AQUOS XLED <4T-55X9A/50X7A>.
