On January 1, 2001, Sharp released the AQUOS LCD color TV, the home TV of the 21st century.
The AQUOS boasted beautiful images with an industry-leading (at that time) brightness of 450 cd/m2 and an interior-friendly design by world-renowned industrial designer Toshiyuki Kita. Sharp has continued to offer lifestyles for a new millennium with evolution of the AQUOS that includes PC-card-slot models and a 30V-inch HDTV-compatible model that's perfect as a home's main TV.
