2006 SD-SP100 1-Bit Digital Home Theater System

The SD-SP100 was the first in the world to adopt the 1-Bit Digital Direct Speaker, a system that input ultra-high-speed 1-Bit digital signals sampled at 11.2 MHz, a rate 256 times faster than that used for CDs, directly into the speakers. The direct connection between the digital amp and speakers eliminated the need for a low-pass filter, which could affect sound quality, and for speaker cables that could cause sound deterioration. This resulted in higher-fidelity sound reproduction.
