1983 AY-233FS Room Air Conditioner

In 1983, Sharp released a room air conditioner that used a built-in sensor in the remote controller to detect temperature and humidity and make appropriate adjustments automatically.
While previous models had a sensor built in to the wall unit, there was often a temperature difference between the location of the wall unit and the part of the room where people were.
With the sensor in the remote controller, temperature adjustments were now made that were perfect for the people in the room.
