"One-of-a-Kind" Story
The AX-1000 was equipped with a new Healthy Superheated Steam Engine that boosted the temperature, amount, and flow velocity of the superheated steam sprayed onto food, delivering better fat and salt reduction. It also enabled low-oxygen cooking in which the oxygen concentration inside the oven compartment was reduced to less than 0.5% (compared to 1% in the previous model). This inhibited the oxidation of fats and oils, creating delicious foods cooked without any loss of flavor. Low-oxygen cooking also enabled better retention of antioxidant nutrients such as vitamin C and coenzyme Q10. The superheated steam oven proved highly popular among consumers worried about taking in too much fat and salts and wanting diets that are both healthy and delicious.
