Concerned both about air pollution stories in the media and about an increase in the number of children who are sensitive to house dust, parents requested that the school take appropriate countermeasures. Effects after Installation

Environmental air quality a growing concern.
Increasing numbers of students are becoming sensitive to house dust. Our school wanted to create an air environment that would be conducive to studying. Every year, school authorities and the PTA work together to improve school facilities, with the aim of creating a comfortable environment in which children can better concentrate on their studies and sporting pursuits. The school decided to install air purifiers to improve the air environment of classrooms. This decision was made in response to a recent rise in the number of students who are sensitive to house dust and pollen and against a backdrop of increasing media attention on issues of environmental air quality.

At first we considered installing household air purifiers in our school. However, owing to the large size of our classrooms each covers approximately 66 m2 we ended up choosing business-use models. Previously in winter, students would sometimes bump into humidifiers set up on classroom floors. This is no longer a problem now that the equipment is wall-mounted. Another benefit of having the air purifiers installed in a high position is that it enables Plasmacluster ions to be widely dispersed throughout the classroom. Furthermore, the model we selected is equipped with a HEPA filter designed to purify the air in rooms with an area of 66 m2 a perfect fit for our classrooms.

Installing such equipment and improving the learning environment will help to reinforce the appeal of our school among students and parents alike.
