The higher the sampling rate, the more advanced the time resolution and the more faithful the reproduced sound is to the original. 1-bit samples sound at an incredible high speed of 2,822,400 times per second (2.8MHz). In the time it takes CD to sample once, DVD-Audio samples 4 times and 1-bit samples the same sound 64 times. It is this greater sampling rate (64 times greater than CD) that makes 1-bit so revolutionary in reproducing sound. With the greatest time resolution ability ever achieved, 1-bit produces signals that are greatest in terms of faithful reproduction of the original signal and in transient response.
