MERV 14 Air Filter
Equipped with certified MERV 14 filters, the Airest Heat Pump goes beyond simply heating and cooling your space. It actively improves indoor air quality by capturing airborne allergens and fine dust particles such as pollen, pet dander, mold spores, and smoke.
With a filtration efficiency of over 99.9+%, Airest provides far superior protection compared to conventional heat pump. Conventional units often allow fine dust to pass through and build up inside the system, which reduces performance and compromises air quality. The Airest Heat Pump is designed to trap and block these pollutants before they circulate in your room.
Certified Clean Air
In addition to being equipped with certified MERV 14 filters, Airest is also the world’s first mini-split certified by AHAM as an air cleaner. With a clean air delivery rate suited for a suggested room size of 471 sq ft, this certification ensures that Airest not only heats and cools effectively but also enhances indoor air quality.
Combat Odors with Activated Carbon
The primary filter incorporates active carbon engineered to reduce residues of acetaldehyde and acetic acid. Unlike other competitors, Airest excels at removing these substances completely, achieving 0% residual levels of both compounds. This effective reduction minimizes unpleasant odors and contributes to a cleaner, more comfortable indoor environment.
Unique Structure Design
The Airest Heat Pump is engineered with the heat exchanger positioned near the air outlet. This design allows dry air to circulate inside the unit, keeping internal humidity low and minimizing moisture buildup, which significantly reduces the risk of mold growth. In contrast, conventional models have the heat exchanger near the air inlet, allowing humid air to circulate inside the unit, which raises moisture levels and promotes mold growth over time.
Significant Mold Reduction
With its unique structural design, the Airest is able to maintain low internal humidity and keep the unit dry for extended periods. With this advantage, the Airest significantly reduces mold growth, as evidenced by a customer who has been using the unit for five years and showing very minimal signs of mold growth, even without any cleaning inside the unit.
Centrifugal Fans
High-efficiency filters can increase airflow resistance, which conventional cross-flow fans often have difficulty handling. To overcome this, Sharp has equipped the Airest Heat Pump with four powerful centrifugal fans. These fans produce higher static pressure, allowing air to flow more easily through the filter. The result is consistently strong performance and a steady supply of clean, filtered air throughout the room.
Coanda Airflow Technology
With Coanda Airflow technology, the unit delivers smooth, far-reaching airflow that spreads evenly throughout the room. It maintains strong air delivery up to 43 feet (13 meters), providing consistent cooling and heating to every corner.
Year Round Comfort and Clean Air
The Sharp Airest Heat Pump offers three distinct airflow modes, each designed to deliver comfort throughout the year. In Cool Mode, the arch louver faces upward, directing air along the ceiling for gentle, even cooling without harsh drafts. In Heat Mode, it faces downward to efficiently deliver warm air to the lower part of the room for cozy, consistent heating. Air Purifier Mode circulates air while intelligently adjusting airflow based on room conditions, ensuring effective dust and allergen removal. Regardless of the mode selected, all air passing through the unit is filtered by the built-in MERV 14 filter, continuously maintaining cleaner indoor air.
