The LCD monitor of the VL-PD6 can be detached from the main unit, giving users remote control of basic camera functions such as power on/off, recording start/stop, zoom, pause, playback, stop, fast-forward and rewind. No longer is it necessary to hold the camera for hours at a time -- simply set the camera on a tripod, or place it on the floor...and control it while watching everything comfortably on the LCD monitor.
