The 1-bit digital amplifier is far more efficient compared to class-A and class-AB analogue amplifier systems in terms of heat radiation and power efficiency. The SM-SX1 and SM-SX100 have been purposely built to excel in these fields.
In the last block, the low-heat generating carbonyl iron-powder cores of the SM-SX1 and the amorphous ring-cores of the SM-SX100 keep the low pass filters from overheating while also contributing to energy-efficient.
To minimise electronic radiation, key components have been placed in separated, copper-plated housings with double layered shields to block incoming electronic radiation and to shield radiation generated from within.
To ensure a large and stable power supply while also maintaining compactness and energy-efficiency, the SM-SX1 employs 120% peak current power switching circuits based on a single-ended forward system (On/On system) and the SM-SX100 employs current-resonance, zero-current switching circuits which operate at frequencies up to 1 MHz.
