A 200 kW system, one of the largest in Japan, with the world's first snow melting function

A 200 kW system, one of the largest in Japan, equipped with the world's first snow melting function, has been installed at the Industrial Research Institute of Ishikawa Prefecture. This system not only generates power from sunlight but also melts snow by retaining heat in the solar cells when snow accumulates. This application won the Minister of International Trade and Industry Prize of Japan for developing a new way to use solar cells.
