Sharp’s outdoor-compatible A0-sized ePoster has been awarded the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award at CEATEC AWARD 2024. This award recognizes outstanding technologies, products, and services that demonstrate high innovation among the submissions made by exhibitors at CEATEC 2024, taking place from October 15 (Tuesday) to 18 (Friday), 2024 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba City.

On October 15th (Tue), the award ceremony was held at Palace Hotel Tokyo (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo). Masahiro Okitsu, Sharp's President and CEO, received the certificate and trophy from Ryosuke Kouzuki, Senior Vice Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry.

The ePoster achieves display retention with "0W power consumption." Power is only required during the display rewriting process, showcasing its excellent energy-saving performance. It incorporates electronic paper technology from E Ink Holdings Inc., the world's leading company in the electronic paper field, delivering high visibility akin to paper and rich color representation.

Headquarters: Hsinchu City, Taiwan; CEO: Johnson Lee

The review for the award-winning A0-sized "ePoster" is as follows: "This is an electronic paper display using E ink technology, consuming zero power during display. With IP65 equivalent environmental resistance and an anti-glare screen, it has good visibility outdoors. It also lights up at night for improved visibility, potentially serving as illumination. Utilizing LPWA communication network, data can be rewritten. The energy-saving design allows for 16 hours of illumination with solar-powered charging and full charge, expected to be widely used as signage or lighting during disasters, highly evaluated for its unique application of in-house technology."
