Using the Day-Timer® Organizer 2000 and the DTO-SE on the same computer
The Day-Timer® Organizer 2000 and the DTO-SE cannot be used simultaneously on the same computer. In order to switch products, uninstall one before installing the other.
Synchronizing when actively editing an entry in the DTO-SE
If an entry is being actively edited in the DTO-SE, it cannot be overwritten during synchronization. Therefore, before synchronizing, be sure to close all edit dialogs.
Dates before 1901 or after 2099
Dates before 1901 or after 2099 may not synchronize properly.
Special characters in the memo title field
Some special characters, e.g. European characters, in the memo application's title field do not synchronize properly.
Synchronization of schedule items that span midnight
Synchronization of SHARP Electronic Organizer schedule items that span midnight produces incorrect times in the DTO-SE.
  Synchronization of multi-day entries
Among multi-day entries in the DTO-SE, only those of the first day are synchronized.
  When communication is interrupted
If communication is interrupted during synchronization, some entries may be duplicated during re-synchronization.
  Secret entries
Entries marked as secret are not shown in any of the Organizer's display modes when it is locked. Otherwise, entries marked as secret are shown on the DTO-SE's screen.
  Printing
If the printing result was not as you expected, check the setting of the printer's [Properties]. Click the [Start] menu, choose [Setting], and click [Printers]. In the [Printers] window, choose the printer you are connected to, and right-click to open [Properties].
Use with databases from other editions of the DTO
In order to use the DTO-SE with databases from other editions of the DTO, just select the database by choosing "Open" from the "File" menu. DTO-SE will detect which version the selected database is and handle it appropriately.
Importing data from older Sharp organizers to the DTO-SE
You must have the PC-Link cable and software for your older Sharp organizer. There are two basic steps involved to transfer your data:
1. Make sure the data in your PC-Link software is current, then export the data from your PC-Link software as a text file (*.asc, or *.csv);
2. Import the text file into the DTO-SE.
For step by step instructions, click here. Here you will find instructions (by model) on migrating data from older Sharp Organizers to the DTO-SE and from there to the new organizer.
