Sharp Establishes Consumer Electronics and Office Equipment Sales Subsidiary in Mexico


Sharp Corporation will establish Sharp Corporation Mexico, S.A. de C.V., a sales subsidiary for consumer electronics and office equipment in Mexico City, United Mexican States. The new sales subsidiary will start operations on January 1, 2010.

In 1995, Sharp Electronics Corporation, Sharp’s U.S. sales subsidiary, established a branch in Mexico to pursue business mainly in LCD TVs and copiers.

With consumer spending showing signs of a recovery, especially in urban areas, the Mexican market is poised to continue growing. By establishing this new sales subsidiary in Mexico to strengthen sales and marketing functions, Sharp will work to enhance brand value and expand business in the country’s market.
