SHARP's unique 1-bit process involves amplifying a digital, rather than an analogue, signal. This way, the subtle degradations that occur in the traditional analogue amplification process are virtually eliminated. Along with standard 5.1-channel Dolby® and DTS® decoders, the SD-HX600 and SD-HX500 provide Dolby® Pro Logic® II to generate quasi-5.1 sound from stereo sources. Now you can enjoy a fully immersive surround sound experience, in whichever room you choose. With their slim, vertical design, matching anodized aluminium finish and stylish perimeter panels, the amplifier and player units are purpose-built for mounting on the wall* – just like works of art! For further space-saving convenience, the player unit's vertical chassis hides the disc-loading mechanism behind a motorized front panel. * Using the supplied mounting brackets.
