On February 4, 2000, total worldwide production of Sharp Microwave Ovens reached an incredible 70 million units, a figure far exceeding that of all other manufacturers. When compared to the number of years taken to reach its first 10 million unit mark, Sharp's recent production pace has been astounding (see table below). The event also celebrated SATL's production accomplishment of 20 million Microwave Oven units, slated for February 28.
