RIP Once/Print Many Function
When equipped with the optional AR-PB2 Printer Expansion Kit, the AR-405/336/286/250 become high-quality laser printers featuring a 150 MHz, 64 bit RISC processor and "RIP Once/Print Many" printing. By storing processed bit-mapped image data into their built-in memory, multiple documents are printed directly from the hard disk, realizing superb productivity of high-volume, multi-set printing.
For the AR-250, an optional 1GB hard disk is needed.

PC Environment Support
The optional Printer Expansion Kit has an IEEE 1284 parallel port for connection to a PC running Windows® 3.1x/wfw3.11/95/98 or WindowsNT® 4.0. Mac OS 7.5x/8.0/8.1/8.5 are also supported.

Print Server Card
Optional Print Server Cards enable direct connection to a PC network. Connecting directly to the internal bus of the copier rather than the parallel port allows for easier network connectivity.

Scanning

Equipped with the AXIS 700* Network Scan Server, these models can be used as a network scanner, allowing you to convert any type of paper-based document into a digital image file. As easy as making a copy, you can scan documents such as faxed reports, copies and newspaper clippings and send them anywhere over the network.
