The concept behind DVD players
Concept

The market for DVD players has increased rapidly since its introduction in 1996 and we at Sharp are determined to expand the market even further to include everyone from avid electronic fans to general users.

Although there are a wide range of DVD players available from various manufactures today, nothing sets any of the models apart from one another since the image and sound quality is relatively the same. Thus, we have developed exclusive technology to improve the AV quality of our DVD players.

High Picture Quality

One development is a special Digital Gamma Circuit which makes dark scenes in a movie easier to see, allowing viewers to enjoy movies even in well-lit environments.

Another Sharp-exclusive feature is our Digital Super Picture Circuit. This circuit further boosts the sharpness level of DVD software to achieve a level of clarity and contrast never before available in AV equipment. Plus, this circuit also reduces noise that's present in VideoCDs and other AV media.

High Sound Quality

Not all consumers listen to their AV equipment in the way. Some have high-output surround sound systems. Others are content with the sound from the built-in TV speakers. In order to meet the wide variety of consumer audio preferences, we decided not to limit the audio capabilities of our DVD players. That's why we incorporated three different types of surround sound circuits and several audio output jacks to accommodate various system configurations. Now users can enjoy dynamic sound with the surround circuit of their choice.

In addition to their advanced circuitry, our DVD players are also compact and easy to operate. We are confident that Sharp DVD players offer something for everyone.
