Mobile products require longer battery lifetimes and increased information
content from the display. A ferroelectric liquid crystal reflective storage mode
is demonstrated. This display only needs updating when the image changes, giving
ultra low power consumption. Passive matrix addressing allows for high
resolution text to be displayed.
