For the three months ended December 31, 2007, operating income for Audio-Visual and Communication Equipment was 11.1 billion yen, down 19.3% over the same period last year. Operating income for Home Appliances was 0.7 billion yen, up 19.1%, and for Information Equipment, grew to 10.1 billion yen, up 19.5% compared to the same period last year.
As a result, operating income for the three product groups comprising Consumer/Information Products was 22.0 billion yen, a decline of 3.9% over the same period last year.

Operating income for LSIs was 1.6 billion yen, up 3.8%. For LCDs, operating income grew significantly to 24.4 billion yen, up 27.6% over the same period in the previous year reflecting increased sales of LCD panels for TVs. Operating income for Other Electronic Components was 3.4 billion yen, a decline of 37.3% compared to the previous year.
As a result, operating income for the three product groups comprising Electronic Components was 29.5 billion yen, up 12.5% over the same period in the previous year.

By product group, Consumer/Information Products accounted for 42.5% and Electronic Components 56.8% of operating income, with the percentage of Electronic Components increasing 3.5 percentage points from the 53.3% of the same period in the previous year.
