SEC Receives SmartWay Excellence Award for 2nd Consecutive Year

Sharp Electronics Corporation (SEC) has once again won the SmartWay Excellence Award for its involvement in and outstanding contributions to the SmartWay Transportation Partnership, an association dedicated to increasing fuel efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions coming from the freight industry.

This year, 35 companies from among the more than 600 partner companies earned recognition for being environmentally friendly. In accepting the award at a ceremony held during the annual conference of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, which ran from October 21 to 24, 2007 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, SEC became the first company in SmartWay's history to win this award two years in a row.
