The XG-NV5XB/51X delivers an outstanding high-resolution picture thanks to Sharp's superior LCD technology. Using three high-quality active-matrix TFT LCD panels with 2,359,296 pixels, the XG-NV5XB/51X reproduces images in amazing detail. To ensure the utmost clarity, the XG-NV5XB/51X projects computer images in true XGA resolution (1,024 dots x 768 lines).



Dual Gamma for Video and Data
The XG-NV5XB/51X reproduces black and white levels in optimum gradations according to the image source. When making presentations with a personal computer, the XG-NV5XB/51X projects images with higher brightness and contrast, whereas when using a video source, the projector reproduces images in vivid colors and detailed gradations.



AICS: Advanced Intelligent Compression and Expansion System
Using intelligent resizing technology, the XG-NV5XB/51X can display higher and lower resolution images in detail without compromising quality.



Dot-by-Dot Mode
Using this mode, the XG-NV5XB/51X projects images in their native resolution.



Fit to Screen
This function is used to expand or compress images which are not native 4:3 aspect ratio (e.g., 1,280 x 1,024 resolution).



I/P Conversion
The XG-NV5XB/51X is the industry's first LCD projector with I/P conversion function to switch between interlaced and progressive projection modes according to the source image. Interlaced mode creates a single image through the activation of scanning lines in two fields. To the human eye, the moving image appears natural and smooth. Use this mode when projecting moving images such as those from video, laser disc, and DVD. Progressive mode creates a single image using all available scanning lines. This mode eliminates the flicker and stripes that result from interlaced source images projected as still images. This mode also enables flicker-free still images, lettering, and graphics to be projected from PCs, digital still cameras, and other devices.



3-Line Digital Comb Filter (Video NTSC/PAL)
By digitally separating the luminance and color signals, the XG-NV5XB/51X reproduces crisp and clear images with less blur, flicker, and cross coloring during video presentations.



3D Noise Reduction (Video NTSC/PAL/SECAM)
This feature reduces the noise inherent in video signals, resulting in clearer image reproduction. Even videos that contain a considerable amount of noise due to repeated dubbing can be projected with high quality.
