This file is an update
to the SE-500's operating system. It will
enhance the system's speed and performance
and allow you to download additional software
to your SE-500. |

| 1) |
Download the file se500_v1088.exe
to your PC. |
| 2) |
Close any other applications
running on your PC. |
| 3) |
Run the
se500_v1088.exe self-extracting file by double-clicking
it. |
| 4) |
Select the appropriate
COM port for your SE-500. |
| 5) |
Place the SE-500 in
the docking station. |
| 6) |
Click on "Update". |

This System Update replaces
the previous update, and further enhances
speed and performance. This update will
allow you to download additional software
to your
SE-500. It is not necessary to have installed
the previous update prior to installing
the current System Update. |

This System Update uses
approximately 128KB of user memory; therefore
your organizer must have at least 20%
of user memory available in order to
install the update. If you do not have
enough memory
available, you can still install the
latest version software, but you will
not
be able
to download any additional software programs. |

If you want to remove the
Add-in area, please install the latest
version software (se500_v1030). |

Make sure you have fresh
batteries installed in your SE-500 before
running the update utility. |

DO NOT interrupt the
transfer of the update utility. If the
transfer is interrupted, you will need to
run the latest
version software (se500_v1030) and
then reinstall this software. |

If you cannot select the
appropriate COM port for your SE-500, you
probably have Intellisync™ for Sharp Mobile
Organizer running in the background. Be
sure to close this program before attempting
to run the update utility. SHARP recommends
that you back up your SE-500 before installing
this update. |
